Benefits of ManaVKF Microcement Flooring

  • The use of a three-component product provides significantly higher abrasion resistance compared to conventional single or even two-component cement-based products.
  • Benefits include seamless, quick application, easy maintenance, and a crack-free finish.
  • ManaVKF can be easily mixed with mineral pigments for exceptional color durability.
  • It can be used in the design and creation of visual effects for furniture, worktops, stairs, doors, ceilings, kitchen counters, and more.
  • It is moisture-resistant, stain-resistant, thin with strong adhesion to existing coatings, lightweight to reduce wall load, abrasion-resistant, durable, and comes in unlimited colors and designs.
  • It is odorless and water-soluble.

Application

  • ManaVKF is particularly suitable for public spaces such as shops, restaurants, exhibitions, offices, and environments with high human traffic.
  • Due to its water-based nature and the inclusion of a second component (hardener), the product can be applied to damp surfaces and areas such as bathrooms and showers.

Due to its high adhesion, it can be applied to many vertical and horizontal surfaces. ManaVKF microcement coating can be directly applied to the existing substrate, in the shortest time and with a thickness of only 1 to 3 millimeters, over materials such as tiles, plaster, gypsum board, stone, or many others.

polymeric compound

To achieve a 1-2 millimeter thick decorative layer on a floor or wall substrate, a three-part mixture is used. This mixture consists of Part A (epoxy resin), Part B (water-based epoxy resin hardener), and Part C (a blend of cement and very fine silica). Through the polymerization reaction between Parts A and B, and the initiation of cement hydration due to the water present in Part B, a product with high adhesion, hardness, and impermeability can be obtained.

preparing base

  • Apply a layer of POXPRIM580, acting as a primer, onto a solid, smooth substrate that is free from grease, oil, dust, and is absorbent.
  • Subsequently, we apply the prepared mixture using a specialized trowel onto the substrate, considering the specific application.
  • For application on a tiled substrate, the surface must be roughened using a notched diamond tool. Then, a layer of POXPRIM580 is applied as a primer, followed by the prepared mixture at the desired thickness.
  • To ensure the substrate’s integrity, it is recommended to use a 100-gram fiberglass mesh.

how to combine the components

  • Step 1
Combine parts (A and B) by pouring part B into the container of part A and mixing them with a drill mixer (300 RPM) for at least one minute until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.Note: Part B should weigh twice as much as part A.
  • Step 2
Combine part (C) with the mixture obtained from parts (A and B) in a ratio of 2.5 to 3 times the weight of the initial mixture.
  • Note 1:
To create a mastic with a thickness greater than one millimeter, you can add up to 80% of the total weight of the A, B, and C mixture in the form of granulated silica. For example: 500 grams of part A, 1000 grams of part B, 4.5 kilograms of part C, and approximately 4 kilograms of granulated silica.
  • Note 2:
To increase the fluidity of the mixture, you can add up to 10% of the total weight of the mixture in water.
